StandingWatch is the estate management arm of Ryan A. Jones & Associates, a construction and renovation firm here in Vero Beach. We handle the property maintenance, the home watch, and the day-to-day of running a home for a small number of families on the barrier island.

Most home watch services will walk your house and send you a report. That is where they stop. We are the ones who fix what we find, because the firm that inspects your home is the same firm that builds and renovates on this island every day.

What that buys you is simple. You come back to the house you left, not to a list of things that quietly went wrong while you were gone.

What we handle

Everything your home needs, without you asking

No two houses on the island are run the same way, so no two of our arrangements are either. This is the work that fills most of our weeks.

Home Watch and Inspections

We walk the house on a set schedule while you are away, looking for the things that do real damage when no one is there to catch them: a slow leak, rising humidity, pests, a pump that has quit. A report with photographs follows every visit.

Preventative Maintenance

Plumbing, roofing, generators, and pool equipment, serviced on a schedule. Air conditioning, monitored and reported. Maintenance on a calendar costs less than a repair on an emergency call, and it takes far less of your time.

Storm Preparation and Recovery

When a storm has a name, we prepare the house and its equipment before it arrives. Once it passes, we inspect and document what it left behind. Anything that needs repair, we take care of ourselves as a licensed builder.

The Salt Protection Program

The ocean is hard on a house. Salt finds its way into hardware, fixtures, screens, and finishes and takes years off their life. Our Salt Protection Program stays ahead of it with regular cleaning and treatment where the exposure is worst.

Vendor and Project Coordination

You should not be managing landscapers, cleaners, and contractors from a thousand miles away. We are the one person to call, and we are there in the house while the work is being done.

Seasonal Readiness

We open the house before you arrive so it is ready the moment you walk in, and we close it properly once you have gone. Neither should be something you have to think about.
